چکیده

The adsorption properties of new ceramics titania (titanium dioxide, Ti02) as a column packing material for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were investigated in our recent studies. The adsorption mechanism of titania was found to be different from that of silica gel; the titania adsorbs acidic compounds rather than basic compounds, while silica gel adsorbs basic compounds. In addition, titania possessed high resistance to both alkaline and acidic eluents. Therefore, a further attempt has been made to apply this titania column to the separation of various biogenic substances employing hydrophilic solvent systems. Among numerous biogenic substances tested, the titania column showed a peculiar property for nucleosides. This communication deals with the rapid group separation of ribonucleosides and deoxyribonucleosides on a titania column. 2. H. Matsuda, H. Nakamura, T. Catalytic coatings on steel for low-temperature propane prereforming to solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) application.

Catalyst layers (4-20 microm) of rhodium (1 wt%) supported on alumina, titania, and ceria-zirconia (Ce(0.5)Zr(0.5)O(2)) were coated on stainless-steel corrugated sheets by dip-coating in very stable colloidal dispersions of nanoparticles in water. Catalytic performances were studied for low-temperature (< or = 500 degrees C) steam reforming of propane at a steam to carbon ratio equal to 3 and l...

The Comparison of MgO and TiO2 Additives Role on Sintering Behavior and Microstructures of Reaction-Sintered Alumina-Zirconia-Mullite Composite

Alumina-Mullite-Zirconia ceramic composites were prepared by reaction sintering of alumina, zircon mixture and the sintering aids of magnesia and titania at temperatures of 1400 and 1600 C for 2 hours. The development of different phases and microstructures of the composites were analysed to assess the relative influence of the additives on the formation of alumina-zirconia-mullite compos...

TiO2-ZrO2 Binary Oxides for Effective Hydrodesulfurization Catalysts

Titania-zirconia mixed oxide was developed as support for Mo, CoMo and NiMo catalysts. Synthesis was carried out using evaporation induced self assembly and modified sol-gel templating route. The samples were calcined in a temperature range of 400C to 600C. SEM and porosity analyses were used to ensure that the mesostructure is stable after Mo and promoter incorporation. Wide-angle XRD was used...
